Music recommendations from your own library, offline
Most players for your own files give you shuffle and playlists, not recommendations. Vaure analyses your library on the iPhone, and when you press Vibe it picks what to play next from the tracks you own, based on how they sound and how you listen. It works in airplane mode, your listening profile never leaves the phone, and Vibe is included in the free plan.
Why your own library usually gets no recommendations
Recommendations in streaming apps are built on their servers: they compare your listening history with millions of other listeners and pick from their catalogue. That needs a connection and an account that remembers everything you play. Most players for local files have neither, so they offer shuffle, smart playlists or “recently added” instead — you still choose the next track yourself.
How Vibe works
After you import music, Vaure analyses every track on the iPhone: tags, tempo, key, and an on-device AI model that listens to how the track sounds and how tracks relate to each other. Nothing is uploaded for this. Then Vibe has two modes:
- Current Vibe follows the mood of your current listening session and shifts as you listen.
- Continue Vibe starts from what's playing and finds similar tracks among the ones you own.
Vibe reacts to what you do: favouriting or replaying a track pulls the mix towards it, skipping pushes it away. The next track always comes from your library, never from an outside feed.
How to start
- Install Vaure on your iPhone (iOS 17 or later).
- Import your music — from a computer in the browser, the Files app, a NAS or another iPhone. See how to put music on iPhone without iTunes.
- Let Vaure finish analysing the new tracks. Bigger libraries take longer, and it happens once per track.
- Press Vibe.
What Vibe is not
- It doesn't add music you don't have: there is no catalogue behind it.
- It doesn't stream: Vaure plays files stored on the iPhone, so it can't open tracks from Spotify or Apple Music.
- It doesn't share your taste with anyone: there is no listening profile on someone else's server.
The more varied your library, the more room Vibe has to find good next tracks. With a handful of albums it will mostly stay close to what you started with.
Questions
Does Vibe need an internet connection?
No. The analysis and the recommendations run on the iPhone, so Vibe works in airplane mode and with no signal.
Does Vaure upload my listening history?
No. Your listening profile stays on the device; Vibe does not send what you play to a server to build recommendations.
Can Vibe recommend songs I don't own?
No. Every track Vibe picks comes from your own library. Vaure has no streaming catalogue.
Is Vibe free?
Yes. Current Vibe and Continue Vibe are part of the free plan. The free plan holds up to 75 tracks without an account and 150 with a free account; Vaure Plus ($1.99 a month in the US App Store) removes the limit.
